Installation art describes an artistic genre of site-specific, three-dimensional works designed to transform the perception of a space.

Day of shoot will be on Monday 11/06/12 during class time. A room, a camera, studio lighting and a white back drop will be provided. All other props need to be supplied by the artist.
Brainstorming an idea or issue for your shoot.
Think of something you are passionate about or something that has really affected you in the past year with in society. Newspapers are a great source of ideas.
Your idea doesn’t have to be political or world changing it could be something very personal.
Brainstorm ideas on how to depict or communicate your issue, is it negative or positive.

Capture the same moving subject at a speed of 1/1000 or quicker.
If your camera dosn't have a manual setting or the ability to change the shutter speed. Then explore the sports setting on your camera set on and then off.
3. Night time photography is a great way of looking at the world through your camera.

conduct a camera shoot a night time.
You could find light sources to capture; such as fire, house light, street lights or car lights.
You could capture and expose compositions from the dark.
Or using slow shutter speeds move light sources or objects in the camera view while the camera is taking the shot to capture movement or blurring.
Capture at least thirty shots and choose the best three for your blog.

2. From your photoshoot 'Buildings have character'
Upload and organise your pics to your student folder
Choose the best three images
Play them as a slide show to the rest of the class.
3. Upload them to your blog and write a little about them.
4. After a demonstration from your teacher, follow the 'Introduction to Photoshop work sheet provided in class by your teacher.
Open an image into Photoshop and Create the weirdest image you can. Save the image to student folder and post it to your blog.

Other buildings give of a sense of authority, such as churchs or schools.
With a camera go out and capture the character, vibe, feeling or story of a building, Think about composition, but for this concentrate on rule of thirds. Don't be afraid to get in close and use different camera angles.
Take at least 30 shots, choose the best three and post them to your blog.
Repeat the 'Buildings have character photoshoot'
